I've re-worked this genealogy web site and added many new images - I am indebted to the people who have so graciously allowed me to use images on my web site, and have noted who allowed me permission to use their images at appropriate places.  Wherever there is a camera icon, click on the icon and the images will appear on the screen.  Additionally, click on the big button below for images (without names!) of people who attended the Carver Family Reunion on 26 & 27 June 2004 at Itasca State Park, Minnesota.

For information regarding our immediate ancestors, descendants (not named on my web site to protect their privacy), and for sharing photos and documents, for analyzing conflicting data for inclusion on Notes sections, as well as sharing the joys and headaches of genealogy research, the people I must acknowledge and to whom I owe a large debt of gratitude are: Michael Larson, a descendant of Orin Carver who had more information on descendants than I could have imagined until I made contact with him about two years ago; Ardell Parkman Lynds a shirt-tail cousin who has access to Maine State Archives and other sources - she wrote the timeline for John Gilley's life based on documents, and she recently found the court case reference for Caleb Carver and Abigail Sherman from 1733-1734; Darlene McNamee whose husband is a descendant of Eldon's, who provided me with early information when I first found out how far back our Carver lineage goes some 25-30 years ago; Carmen Carver who is a descendant of Mahlon's, and a double cousin because her Danish grandmother, Laura Christine Larsen, was a sister of my Danish great-grandmother, Hansena Larsen, so we share some of the same ancestors; and Jim Knutson who is a descendant of Nathan's.  We've exchanged photos and many, many round-robin emails with enough information to fill several large notebooks of genealogy data.
I must also express my deep gratitude to R. Wallace Hale who has so very generously shared information about Capt. Caleb Carver, and who put the Massachusetts Banishment Act online.  I contacted him via his web site, and was then able to obtain not only the abstract of Capt. Caleb's will (in Wallace's book and CD), but his CD of Sabine's Loyalists where Caleb and his son, Melzar are mentioned (all of which now reside on my bookshelves of genealogy resource materials).  He is a warm and engaging fellow with many years of research expertise, and I'm grateful for his kindness and generosity with the wealth of information he has obtained through the years.  I've not yet found any American references to where Capt. Caleb and his wife, Abigail Damon, ended up except through Wallace, and he additionally pointed me to other research material.  I later obtained a microfilm copy of Caleb's will through the New Brunswick Provincial Archives and have included those images on data for Capt. Caleb.
In Denmark, Ib Christensen, who is from the island of Ærø, went in search of data from Landet Parish on the island of Tåsinge on our Larsen ancestors when I was unable to find 19th century records online, and I am grateful for his generosity and kindness in taking the time to travel all that way for a stranger who only shares the love of genealogy research.  (I'm just glad he accidentally found other information on his own family he hadn't known about while he was at it!)
I've also gleaned much genealogy data on Eldon's line from Joyce Burnett Lang's book Time to Remember: The Burnett & Carver Families in Retrospect, and may quote her book more later, since she has many memories and family stories in her book.
THANK YOU, ONE AND ALL, for your overwhelming generosity!  Only another genealogy researcher lost in the tangled web of pedigree lines and conflicting data can imagine how much I owe you, and how grateful I am for your enthusiastic support, encouragement, and assistance in untangling the lives of our ancestors!  I appreciate your many kindnesses and warm generosity VERY much!!!

If you find that some data from the recent ancestors has been omitted, it's because it may contain references to living people so it's been edited out - the complete information is in my database, and I'll be happy to supply living relatives with data; email me.

There are hyperlinks to various interesting web sites in several Notes sections.  Most do not have popup ads, but a very few do.  If you don't already have a Google Toolbar with a popup blocker, visit this site and install the popup blocker first.  http://toolbar.google.com/

Link to Ardell's web site Type in Carver (in the box below the Ancestry ad), the index will come up.  You can view the information in a few different ways, pedigree, descendants, index, ahnentafel, and register.  Enjoy!!!
