Carver went to Ebro to take charge of logging operations. The Thirteen Towns, January 21, 1910 Nate Carver was down from his logging camps this week, returning Wednesday morning. He stated that the logs were moving very satisfactorily at that time. Although more frigid weather would suit the lumbermen better than the mild band prevailing. The Thirteen Towns, Looking Back, Seventy Years Ago, February 4, 1910 An early morning fire destroyed the Nate Carver house south of the tracks. His mother, Mrs. M.A. Carver and her granddaughter, Angie Fyffe, barely escaped with the clothes they were wearing.
