She was united in marriage to Alexander Fyffe in 1887 at Winthrop, Maine, and came to Fosston in 1892 where she has resided since. Bertha Fyffe was the daughter of Margaret Bennet [sic] and Allison Carver. Of the family of seven brothers and one sister there are three living to mourn their sister's death. Orin of Bemidji and Nathan and Fred of Fosston. Six Children Born To Bertha and Alex Fyffe were born six children, Angie Mabel (Mrs Carl Tufte) of Chauvin, Alberta, Canada; Albert Carr Fyffe of Fosston; Rose Helen (Mrs Henry Van Hovel) of Campbell; Mark Allen Fyffe of Winona; Everett Orrison Fyffe of Lodi, Calif., and Verna Leora (Mrs Harold Brager) of Mallory. In addition to the husband six children who mourn her death Mrs. Fyffe is survived by eight grandchildren. Everett Tufte, Velma, Verla and Kenten Van Hovel; Keith, Boyd and Winette Fyffe and Lo Ann Brager. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 26, from the Fosston Methodist Episcopal church with Rev. Harold E. Williams reading the burial service. Friends who carried Mrs. Bertha Carver Fyffe to her final resting place at the Rose Hill cemetery were Christ Fossbakken, Melvin Flaskerud, Einer Wold, Tilford Haugstul, Oscar Asleson and Melvin Torblaa. Many From Distance Present Out of town people who were here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Orin Carver, Mrs. Leo Hawley, Mrs. Haaley, Mrs. Levi Price, and Mr. and Mrs. Larson, all of Bemidji; Mrs. George Carver Lenox of South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Mack Burnett and family, Mrs Milo McQueen and family and Mr. and Mrs Val Rohman, all of Cummings, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McNamee of Grand Forks; Gordon Prescott of Illinois; and Mrs. Ed. Ingolls and Mrs. Earl Ingolls of Bagley.
