Fred's household is the next listing on that same page of the 1920 census.) Death Certificate Info (letter dated 30 Apr. 1975, from Doris Morberg, Clerk of District Court, Polk County, Crookston, Minnesota, to Carmen Carver): Mahlon Carver Date of Death: 2 Apr. 1928 Place of Death: Sletten Township, Polk County, Minnesota Age at time of Death: 59 years, 10 months, 7 days Cause of Death: Hypertension, heart attack, Sudden and complete failure - - Recent tooth abcess. Occupation: Farmer Date of Birth: 25 May 1868 Place of Birth: Maine Parents: A.L. Carver, born in Maine; Margaret A. Bennett, born in Maine. The Thirteen Towns, Looking Back, Sixty Years Ago, April 6, 1928 Mahlon E. Carver died at his home in Sletten Township. Alternate birth years for Mahlon have been listed as 1865 (1910 census), and 1868 (which would conflict with the birth info for Charles Bartlett, the youngest brother who died young. Even if the birth year for Charles Bartlett was changed to 1869 - there's not enough time for pregnancy between Mahlon and Charlie.) 1865 is a possibility if there was only a year between Bertha and Mahlon and Margaret got pregnant within three months after Bertha's birth, since both Bertha and Mahlon were born in May. | |||||||||||||
