Herb Nelson P.E. formerly the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Regional Environmental Scientist, has 16 years of experience in leading environmental compliance services for BIA actions in support of tribal applications plus 15 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Project experience includes gaming, land acquisition, economic development, housing, schools, transportation, energy, homeland security and natural resources planning and management.
I have been BIA's NEPA Team Leader for a number of controversial gaming and other projects, including public hearings, scoping and drafting environmental assessments and EISs, responding to public comments and litigation.
