Outlook Express - Unable to Open Attachments

PC users who have upgraded to Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 may have noticed a new security feature. The disabling of e-mail attachments prevents certain malicious content from being delivered via e-mail. Some users may wish to turn off this feature.

  1. Open the Outlook Express program.
  2. From the Tools menu, choose Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Remove the check from "Do not allow attachments..."
  5. Click "OK" to close the window.
  6. Close Outlook Express.
