TCBX - Brainerd MN. Graciously donated obsolete office computer systems after upgrading to new machines. These MS-DOS based machines - PC-Compatible AT Style 80286 and 80386 machines - were used for parts! |

St. Francis Catholic School - Brainerd MN. What goes around comes around! Once the school received a donation of several newer computers, the obsolete classroom computers were given to us. Many of them provided valuable components that were returned to the school to re-install in existing equipment. Other machines were cleaned, upgraded and used as "loaner" systems for our customers. |

Samuel and Bethany Branstner - Baxter MN. The donation of an IBM PS/2 Model 25 (8086) PC was truly a fantastic gift! Many of the business programs I use are MS-DOS based - throwbacks to my programming years - and the compact size of the PS/2 makes it a perfect office computer (and a great conversation piece!) This system was upgraded with more RAM and a 1.44Mb diskette drive. |

Zachary Hill - Crosby MN. Zach Hill's Macintosh Performa 5200 couldn't keep up with him any longer. He generously donated it to us along with a SyQuest drive, a StyleWriter printer and a ton of accessories and software! The system has been used on numerous occasions for training purposes and for archiving Macintosh software. Thanks Zach! |

Leanne Gendron - Baxter MN. Leanne's computer (a new iMac) was destroyed by a direct lightning strike at her house. The same storm also knocked out most of their other electronic equipment - like their stereo, television, electric range, phones and even their clocks! The iMac as well a fax machine was stripped for parts. |

James and Rawni Moses - Merrifield MN. James has donated several different machines and components over the years, including a home-built 486 and an IBM PS/2 Model 30 plus an Epson desktop PC, a Commodore Vic-20 and a pair of Apple II+ machines and many other old and new parts. The result of his generosity has been put to use in a variety of ways. |

Eclipse Studio - Crosby MN. Fire threatened to close this thriving hair & beauty salon in downtown Crosby. It destroyed most of Nanette Tuthill's computer equipment. Once the smoke cleared, Nanette presented me with her HP Pavilion 6465 PC - an awful-smelling, soot-filled computer that had endured a fire and a flood of water. In about a week (and after replacing some parts) the Pavilion was once again operational and is used to this day in my shop. Oh yes… Nanette's important data was also able to be recovered!! |

Emily Cooperative Telephone Company - Emily MN. What does a busy executive do when the digitizer on his PDA fails to respond? He packs it up nicely and sends it to Tolbers Computer Services - and asks us to suggest a replacement. When the screen on Paul Hoge's well-traveled Handspring Visor Deluxe began to show its age, Paul knew that he could count on our honest advice to provide him with a beautiful Palm m130 to replace his aging Visor. Thanks to some very delicate work, the Handspring might survive a few more years! |

Andrew Keresey - Fifty Lakes, MN. Andrew has donated some truly handy equipment to my shop including a NEW 48x CD-ReWriteable drive as well as a wireless keyboard and mouse. The CD-R/W drive has been handy on numerous occasions and the wireless hardware has performed very well during presentations. |

Suzie Bretz - Baxter, MN. Suzie decided to do some Spring Cleaning and get rid of old parts and accessories for computers she no longer owned. One surprise was a Connectix QuickCam B&W camera - the original golf-ball sized motion-picture camera! With some creativity I was able to find Windows 98 drivers (it's meant for Windows 3.1) and test it out on one of my older PCs. Eventually - just for fun - we'll do something creative with the camera… Like set it up as a web-cam to see what the cats do while I'm away? |
