It's All About the Balls!

Which would you rather have - Tennis Elbow, or Exercise Balls?

Fitness equipment has taken many forms over the years. Weight benches, rowing machines, stationary bicycles and more... All you really need are a good pair of balls!

Everyone knows what a fitness nut I am, and now I have an extra special reason to enjoy working out. I use my balls. Starting an exercise program with my balls was easy, and it was much less expensive than purchasing weight-training or resistance machines. And my balls take up much less space! In fact, I've developed this area of my web site to share workout tips and ideas I've learned with my balls. I sure hope you enjoy all the hard work!

Before you get started with your own fitness plan, you'll need to get some balls. It's important to spend some time talking to others about their balls - and even trying them out. Get a feel for different kinds of balls. The size of your balls is also important. You don't want your balls to be too big, and you'll also find that balls which are too small just don't provide the same results. Ask a knowledgeable salesperson to help you find your balls.

Green, Yellow & Black and Blue Balls!

Enjoy the Convenience of a Ball Sack

There are many different types and colors of balls, and you'll certainly want more than one. I have two balls of slightly different sizes. And since I like blue, blue balls seem right for me. Be sure to purchase accessories for your balls, as well. You won't want to leave them just lying around when you're not using them - I keep my balls in a ball sack. Just unzip, and out come the balls, ready for action! Be sure to purchase a good-quality pump to make sure your balls are as firm as you need them to be.

Workout Area: Choose a large open area of your house or yard to do your ball exercises. I use my balls outside in the summer. In addition to the fresh air, my neighbors have become intrigued by my balls. Be sure to avoid exercising on harsh surfaces, as you may scratch your balls. If it's too cold to bring my balls outside, I'll use them on the living room floor. I've found that when our cats are shedding, and with the static electricity of winter, my balls can get pretty hairy. Balls can also become sweaty after a strenuous workout. I always wash my balls when I'm done.

One of many ways to work out with your balls.

Having a friend or exercise partner is fun and rewarding. Especially when you're working with balls. I decided to form an exercise group after I realized people were eager to try out my balls. People like to tease me about my blue balls - but I don't know why. I just think it's great when friends show up to grab my sack, pull out my balls and get to work on 'em!

Kids and Balls: There are balls for adults, and there are balls for children. As a responsible adult, it's important to teach children about safety and to set guidelines when it comes to balls. Although balls are durable and will last for many years, children should not kick each other's balls, nor should they use them in a rough manner or near sharp objects. Children should not attempt to bounce on their balls. Remember that balls are fitness equipment and not toys. Be sure to teach your children not to play with their balls.

There are many different workout techniques for balls. Most involve sitting on or arching back on your balls. Your balls will provide a soft, natural rolling action - and moderate resistance - for exercises that target several muscle groups simultaneously. Some exercises include squeezing your balls against your chest and abdomen, or pinching them between your legs. Several books, magazines and videos are available to help you get the most out of your balls.

I hope you've enjoyed learning about my balls and how I incorporate them into a regular fitness routine! I know you'll go nuts once you discover the fun and convenience of working out with balls, too.
