Born in August of 2001, Max moved to The Ranch on December 7th, 2002. We met Max (nicknamed "Stanley") at the Heartland Animal Rescue Team office in Brainerd.
Max got our attention right away. He's a quiet cat who loves affection - he couldn't wait to move into his new home. He spent most of the afternoon exploring his surroundings - and the rest of the evening napping.
Kirby the Cat still isn't so sure about this...
Max loves riding in the van - quite a surprise to us. He fell fast asleep curled up in my bed - one of Missy's favorite places to be. We think he'll enjoy it at The Ranch.
The pictures don't quite show it, but Max is a rather large cat. At just over a year old, he weighs more than ten pounds. All stretched out on the floor, he's over three feet long! Note the large puppy-like paws in the photo on the left. I suspect he'll continue to grow up to be something big.
