Old-Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies

Makes a hefty batch…

Ingredients

2/3 cup shortening

1/2 cup peanut butter

2/3 cup sugar

2/3 cup brown sugar, packed

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla

2 cups flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 cup chopped peanuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars and eggs thoroughly. Stir in milk and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt - stir into shortening mixture. Stir in peanuts. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.

Notes

This batch makes approximately 60 cookies.
